Convicted Slum Lord Oliver Lawerence and His "Handywork"

White man, David Herring and others restored a house previously owned by Negro slumlord, Oliver Lawrence. The restoration took place in the Church Hill district of Richmond, Virginia.

The article from NBC12 of Richmond states, “David Herring’s group bought an option in the hopes of getting the property away from convicted slumlord Oliver Lawrence and into the arms of someone who could make a difference for this Church Hill neighborhood.”
